• Bahaa Taher Visits ILB

    The famous author Bahaa Taher, who is believed to be up for the Nobel Prize for Literature, paid ILB a visit during one of our book signings.

    He attended the launch of the book Peek-a-boo and signed his own books for everyone attending.

     

    It was a great honor for ILB and its staff to be in the presence of someone who has accomplished so much during his career.

"Workers through the lens of Ashraf Talaat - FRPS"

The Center for Documentation OF Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT), affiliated to Bibliotheca Alexandrina and supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, is hosting a photo exhibit by photojournalist Ashraf Talaat.

Talaat exceptionally depicts the extraordinary human element of ordinary workers from all around the world.
Although he obtained a B.Sc. in agriculture science, Talaat developed a passion for photography ever since he was an undergraduate. He travelled to 22 countries from the different parts of the universe to follow his
passion. Talaat is a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. He's won many top photography awards locally and internationally.

The opening will take place at CULTNAT gallery in the Smart Village – Cairo-Alexandria desert road - Tuesday May 5, 2009 at 12:30 Pm. The exhibit runs until June 3, 2009.
